There’s nothing quite like the thrill of experiencing at raceday at Ellerslie or Pukekohe Park as the owner of a runner.

It really does add something extra to your day oncourse. To ensure you make the most of this special moment, we’ve outlined the process prior to raceday and the privileges you’re entitled to.

Ellerslie and Pukekohe Park

Prior to raceday

The day after acceptances close, you will receive an email outlining all the information you require for raceday including what race your horse(s) is/are in and what time(s) plus an educational video (Ellerslie only) which will depict what you can expect regarding your raceday experience.

Owner ticketing privileges

When a general admission charge is applicable, please go to any one of our entry points where your name will be ticked off the owner list and you will be provided free entry.

Complementary entry is based on the following:

  • Outright owner = complimentary free entry for outright owner and up to five guests
  • Two owners = complimentary free entry for both owners and up to four guests
  • Three or more owners, including registered syndicate members = complimentary free entry for each owner plus one guest

Once oncourse, please go to the Raceday Office where you will be issued with ticketing based on:

  • Outright owner = Stand ticket, complementary drink voucher and racebook for outright owner and up to five guests.
  • Two owners = Stand ticket, complementary drink voucher and racebook for both owners and up to four guests
  • Three or more owners, including registered syndicate members = Stand ticket, complementary drink voucher and racebook for each owner plus one guest each

Pukekohe Park

Owner ticketing privileges

All racedays at Pukekohe Park have free entry so once oncourse, please go to the Raceday Office to pick up your ticketing (entitlements mirror what is listed above for Ellerslie).

On some racedays, extra ticketing can be arranged but this needs to be confirmed prior to raceday by emailing [email protected]

  • Where can I go as an owner?

    The stand ticket gives you access to the New Zealand Room (top floor of Ascot (Members’ Stand), the Winning Post Bar (ground floor of the Ascot Stand) and into Tote on Ascot which is adjacent to the horse tie-ups.   All rooms offer food and beverage options for purchase plus betting facilities.

  • Where can I use my drink voucher?

    Twenty-five minutes prior to your race, please go to the pre-race owners’ drinks area which is located adjacent to the Parade Ring.  Please redeem your voucher for a complementary beverage.

  • What happens if my horse wins?

    An ATR representative will invite all owners of the winning horse to have their photo taken with the horse and jockey.  After that, an ATR representative will escort you to the Love Racing Winner’s Circle where a small presentation will take place and gifts handed out including a bottle of Moet and a picture of your horse winning.

  • What is the dress code at Ellerslie?

Pukekohe Park FAQs

  • Where can I go as an owner?

    Room access for owners varies at Pukekohe Park depending on the type of raceday, so please take special note of the email you receive from ATR after acceptances close. All rooms offer food and beverage options for purchase plus betting facilities.
